Welcome to Rein-In Strategies!

Rein-In Strategies was born from my personal journey of navigating over three decades in accounting and more than a decade as an investment advisor. During this time, I encountered firsthand the challenges and triumphs of working closely with clients, gaining a deep understanding of what truly matters to them and what keeps them safe from IRS troubles. I've seen countless people eager to do things the right way but struggling to find the guidance they need. This inspired me to create a course that organizes and presents these essential topics in a clear and accessible manner, offering straightforward advice and practical tools. My goal is to empower you to take control of your financial journey with confidence, knowing you're equipped with the right knowledge to succeed.

As you start your journey towards financial empowerment, having a clear guide is essential. I've created a checklist to help you identify where you might need more information or support. This tool will help you see your current financial standing and highlight areas for improvement.

Hi! I'm Gayle Cox, a devoted mother of two wonderful boys who are my world. As they grow more independent, I'm excited to dive back into my lifelong love for horses and the equestrian community.

Growing up, horses were a huge part of my life, from the everyday care and companionship at home to the thrill and challenges of hitting the road for competitions. I truly understand the ups and downs of living with horses—the early mornings, the muddy boots, and the joy of a successful ride.

With over 30 years as a CPA and more than a decade as an investment advisor, I've been a trusted partner for small businesses focused on ethical and smart financial practices. The lessons I've learned from my equestrian adventures—patience, resilience, and careful planning—have been invaluable in my career. Now, as I reconnect with the equestrian world and start a new chapter in teaching, I'm excited to share the insights and experiences I've gathered over the years, both in finance and with horses.

FAQS

"I'm afraid to look at my financial situation because it might be worse than I think."

When it comes to the fear of reality, it's often not as bad as we think. And if it is? Well, pull up your big girl/boy underwear because now is the best time to fix that! Begin with the simple steps of putting your income and expenses into a user friendly software and take an honest look at where your money comes from and where it goes to. This course will walk you through how to enter your transactions and then show you how to use the information that you've compiled. Yes, you!

"I don't understand financial concepts, so I avoid dealing with my finances."

Educate yourself gradually. There are numerous resources available, such as this online course, that can help demystify financial concepts. Start with the basics and build your knowledge over time. As you learn, you'll find it actually becomes more fun and rewarding. And if you don't understand something, just ask!

"I keep putting off managing my finances because it feels overwhelming."

Set specific, achievable goals and break tasks into manageable steps. If this little steps are done right and timely, it really doesn't require much time or effort. As with all things that we proscrastinate over, holding yourself accountable by setting aside the time to do what you know needs to be done is the best way to overcome the overwhelm.
